Overview
The Automotive Breakout Box is currently configured to be used with any
configuration PCM up to 150 pins. Cables are provided separately to connect directly into the
vehicle harness between the vehicle and Powertrain Control Module. Current users
of our breakout boxes include Ford Motor Co., Detroit Diesel, Visteon and
Delphi.
Each line has a pair of banana jacks with a slide switch between them. This
provides the user access to each I/O line and the ability to create both an open
and short circuit. Each line is poly-fused for circuit protection (6A).
The hardware employs Global Electronic proprietary PCB design approach eliminating all
wires and threaded connectors within the box. The PCB assembly is housed in an
industrial carrying case with removable cover.
Printed Lexan overlays can also be used to provide specific Acronym
information at each banana jack pair.
Harness cables can be custom made to any length and to use any type of
connector harness. See Wire
Harnesses for price list of standard configurations.
This product is usually in stock and can be purchased via Corporate American
Express in most cases.
